Hi, Please help!
Now freshening up a 1965 289 and would like some help on the correct Gold paint used on the air filter and valve covers.This is a Nov.24 San Jose built C code fastback.Anyone have a color number/code it would be a huge help....this was resprayed already so we have nothing to match to.I tried a search,but so far came up empty..Thanks in advance.

Yep thats dbc basecoat and its an alternate dirty version used on bmw's you can get that in metalux base Code BMW 376 www.chemspecpaint.com for around $20 pint. this is basecoat remember and it should be topcoated with flattened clear as any basecoat has no durability to anything. Temp holdout on most basecoats and Clears is around 300 degree's

i'm not a painter by any means. i gave that info to the paint shop & had it mixed in acrylic enamel. that is what i sprayed........partial credit for spraying technique must go to matt snyr who walked me through a troubleshootinig process last week.
