I am looking for an original thicker 7/8 inch sway bar and for the fast steering box HCC-AX for manual steering. good condition or rebuildable. Thanks, Michael

Michael,
An open secret is the power steering box has the same ratio as the quick steering type you're looking for. The difference is the setting of the worm bearing preload made on the shaft adjustment nut. Look in the service manual for details.

The 65-66 handling package sway bar was 13/16".

Thanks for your answers Jim and Charles. The correct sway bar seems very hard to find. Maybe i am going with a repro 1 inch.

My '65 coupe had the handling package and I still have the steering box and the sway bar. I was just in my crawl space digging out some other parts. I will get back under there and verify the parts I have and send pics.
