Title: Decals on 1968 Dearborn 289 coupe

Guys, I am finishing the restoration of my sunlit gold '68 coupe.
For the final touch I need the decals to be placed in the right places. As the car was already repainted pretty badly when I bought it, it missed most of the decals - so no clue where they were originally.

I know already (a bit too late) that the Jim Osborn's kit is not perfect, but is what I have

1. Safety act information - does it apply to 1968?
2. CAUTION-FAN goes centrally on the fan housing
2. FRONT - goes centrally on the front of the air cleaner, but does it apply to 1968, or more precisely - Dec 1st, 1967
3. Jacking instructions - jack
4. BATTERY OK - goes behind the battery on the fender apron, close to the starter solenoid?
5. Emissions control ?
6. Ignition coil decal - ignition coil lower part, anywhere
7. Genuine FoMoCo parts - where?
8. AUTOLITE Regulator - regulator cover
9. Tire size/ pressure - glovebox, anywhere?
10. Service/ Maintenance - I had it originally on the passenger side shock tower, should it be there, or moved to driver side?
11. Jack usage/ stowage - inner deck lid, lower right side?
12. Dealer notice - behind rear license plate

Plus:
289 CUI - goes on the air cleaner lid, front centre

I have this one, instead of rounded "Autolite spark plugs". Shall I use this one? And if yes, where?

11. Jack usage/ stowage - inner deck lid, lower right side? Bottom of decklid
12. Dealer notice - behind rear license plate yes

Bottom decal is generic air cleaner decal, most were specific to engine air cleaner size

Pretty sure assembly manuals give specific information but looking at original cars near yours would be best source for information

About half of what you have is not consistent with production

As mentioned many times on this forum - don't buy a "kit". It includes too many decals that are not meant for your car and often they are (if right for your car) not the best quality ones out there.

Pete gave good responses but to help out maybe a little more. When was your car built? I found it over to the left - 12/1/1967

From what you have posted I would guess that you have a 68 coupe with a C code and automatic. Correct?

Engine compartment

Yellow - Battery inspection. Will need to be filled out.
Purple - Another service sticker location
Red - Cubic inch decal
Light green - Air filter replacement
Light blue - Emission sticker
Yellow - Engine ID sticker

If the car was built and sold to the public. Think even exports optioned as your car had them but that does not appear to apply

Would not but when answering question on the forum you have to consider what might be going through other readers minds so that they do not lump together different things or make leaps in their assumptions. Didn't want to say "all" without throwing out the possibility of some unusual situation I'm not aware of coming around the turn.   :)

Think of it in this context - a side comment.
