Title: Correct lug nuts for 66 GT 350 10 spokes?
Post by: jk66gt350 on January 19, 2011, 09:13:54 PM
Can anyone post a picture of what the correct lug nuts look like for 10 spoke rims on a 66 GT 350?  I'm not certain the ones I have are correct.  Also, can anyone tell me where I might buy a set NOS or repro?  Thanks, John

Don't have a picture handy at the moment but they are the same lug nuts used on Cragars. Try Craig Conely at Paradise Wheels, that's where I got mine...

Thanks Dave - I'll call Craig.  If anyone else does have a picture, I would still like to see what these look like - in the off chance that mine are correct.

John,

Here's a couple pics of mine. I have seen two different styles.....mine have a more rounded top than the other syle which is pretty flat on top. Not sure if it makes any difference but you would definitely want them all to be the same.

Thanks again Dave.  Those look like the ones I have on my wheels now, but after talking to Craig, he verified mine are not correct.  the ones I have are 13/16" and the correct ones are 7/8".  I've ordered a new set. Now I just have to get my wheels as clean as yours again.   It's been many years since mine have looked that clean.

John, yes.....I forgot to mention they are 7/8", sorry about that. If yours is an original 10-spoke car it would have come with a special lug wrench (which is actually pretty crude) that fits these larger nuts. If you don't have one you might ask Craig about one of those too.
