Has there been a final determination date of drain or no drain for 69 Shelby fuel tanks? My early June 69 build has a drain but from what I have read here, it is not correct.

You may already know this but because of the way you worded your question FYI the 69/70 Shelby does not have a unique tank and it will be the same as any non CA emissions Dearborn built Mustang gas tank for the given time period.

Thanks Bob, maybe I posed the wrong question. I have seen on this sight that there was a change sometime in May/ June of 1969 that there was a change from a fuel tank with a drain to a tank without a drain. Has there been a determination of when that date took place? My current tank has a drain, from what I have read it may be incorrect. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Pete

I think I found my answer, Jeff had posted an answer in another thread that April/ May was the cut off, so I guess I have the incorrect tank? Every other part has a build date of 1st week of May last week of April that is why I am asking if a drain would be OK?
