Title: Brain fade - 64 1/2 water pump
Post by: Dave Stribling on January 23, 2011, 03:13:43 PM
For the life of me I don't remember - 260 v8 with an aluminum water pump - does it use a water pump backing plate? I don't see a hole in the pump for it to bolt to. Can't remember.  If it does - ya got a picture of what it looks like so I can dig through the boxes? I thought it had one with a hole in the middle for an impeller, but I am probably wrong.

If yes - got a spare????? ::)

No backing plate on an aluminum pump.

Thanks.  I tore this car down way back in 94 when we were going to use it for Ford Dignitaries for the 500.  It's been sitting in boxes since (my paint guy didn't make his deadline).  I'll be lucky to identify everything and not have a stack of stuff left over.....

Thanks, Dave
