It was a mechanical aftermarket Carter fuel pump for 289/302 application. It was modified with by adding a small brass nipple to the upper housing for a rubber tube to run up to the airbox to equalize pressure between the airbox and fuelpump.

I am very grateful for your answer

This is where my language confusion comes in.
"airbox", it is the black box that sits over the carburetor.

Yes. Also welcome you to the forum.

Thank you!

When I see your profile, I see that you seem very knowledgeable about shelbys, so I take the opportunity to ask another question.

Was there any special fuel pressure regulator for the cars sold with super chargers?
