Although I'm looking at a 67 Shelby, I think any 67 4 speed would apply.

The question is what are the correct makers marks on 67 transmission mounts to rear extension housing? Found nothing in bolt spreadsheet about these other than pitch, etc.
Here are what I found on mine. They fit, but are either correct?
First is a B with 3 or more concentric rings.
Second is circle around E with 3 radials.

Considering how far buried these bolts are in the mount, that would be tough!
Here is a drawing of the bolt. This bolt may have been used across many years. Jim PMed me that has some from SJ cars, years unknown. There's not many places this bolt appears to be used as it also has a captive washer.

Ok, let's rewind this exercise.
I should have done a bit moire homework before asking. After noting that the 6 cyl and 8 cyl manual transmissions use the same bolt I should have checked the Fastener Spreadsheet to check for other places this bolt was used.
From the spreadsheet it lists:

I next looked in the "AMK Products Guide to Ford Fasteners" for the 359080 fastener and the pic (below) shows a circled E with 4 radials at 90 deg. Although this doesn't match my pic with 3 radials it does lead me to believe the circle E style may well be correct. It's believed the radials denote the hardness of the fastener.

Would suggest that Max's pictures of head markings not be used as reliable resource as to head markings for any specific plant or time. But that just me and my experiences.
Have seen those head markings but don't have records of from where
As for finding a picture in my files of them on a transmission or car you are correct but always welling to spend some time to look
Only think I currently could find was an out of focus shot and even if it was clear there is likely too much build up on the head markings to tell. Since they are sunken in the picture I think a digital camera would have focused on the closer mount than the bolt heads :(

I understand that the AMK picture may not be totally accurate.
I'm left with this:
-This could be a vendor thing and perhaps both types were in the bin.
-Considering that this size and style are only used on I-6 engine motor mounts and I-6 and V-8 (not390) trans mounts then things narrow down a lot.
- Although the picture may not be perfect it does make me think the bolt type is of recessed head and has an E in it. And coincidentally or not, I have a circle E bolt.
- My 'B' bolt looks like crap.
- I have nothing else left to go on.

Some pictures of head markings for 359080-S8 (and sometimes -S2).
Pic 1 - A lot of different "E" heads, rings, no rings, grade 5 and grade 5.1.
Pic 2 - A big "E" and a little "E", grade 5.1.
Pic 3 - A lot of different "B" heads, rings, no rings, and an odd RBW grade 5.
There is no other 3/8-16X7/8 Hex Head with a plain split ring lock washer in the AMK Guide to Ford Fasteners. The service replacement (60-68 Ford Car Parts) is 356685-S(?)(a grade 2 bolt), shown without a lockwasher. It is also shown as not being replaced. As to why there is no 390 page entry, many pages supplied by Ford to be part of the Osborn Assembly Manuals were missing or damaged beyond use and were not included.
