Title: Triple GT Tape Stripes
Post by: VXH on January 07, 2021, 07:49:34 PM
Dear Forum,

I have a 68 GT Fastback from Dearborn in Dec 67. The Marti report states "triple GT tape stripes."  I have looked at numerous MR's for a 68 GT fastback and have never seen these listed (except on mine)  Just trying to find out if there is a difference between the regular C stripes (other than gloss or reflective) and the "triple GT tape stripes."

I reached out to Kevin @ Marti and he replied that it was a rare option used only in 1967 (on 68's) and suggested I inquire about them here.

Thanks!

The Triple rocker stripe was a early 68 option that was discontinued 12-12-67 post strike. It was not popular. I have never seen a 68 with this option.

Thank you for the reply. The car was built Dec 6th. Can you point me to a link-photo?

Thanks again

I found this picture in the early version of the 68 Mustang brochure (W0-58), Sorry for the quality, but the triple stripe looks like the stripe found on a 67 GT Mustang.
