Hi,
Sorry, I know this topic has been discussed several times.
I would like to re-paint my Power Steering Pump.
I know that the color is "Teal Blue Metallic" and I can find it on the NPD Website (AP-PSPE (POWER STEERING PUMP PAINT) - https://www.npdlink.com/product/power-steering-pump-paint/143996)
BUT, I am located in France and NPD can not ship the paints over seas as they are classified as HAZ MAT ...
I do not find this color in Europe... and I want to keep my American car as it was in 1968...
So, do you have a RAL code or something similar ? And then I will be able to ask my Automotive paint supply store to create this color.
Thank you so much in advance

May merge this thread with one of the others on the subject.
If you have already found and read those you ill see that there as not a single "correct" color but instead a range. This is good for you since all you need do is to find an exterior color used on any car and then tint it slightly to fit your needs.
Don't know how long your paint company has been around but a visit and a scan through their old color chip samples might help provide a starting point

What paint lines do you have access to over there?

I bought the blue paint and then figured out I had a TRW pump which should be black... don?t make the same mistake!

How did power steering pump paint end up under "Suspension"??
I moved it. Since the color issue is not a year specific I didn't move it to the 68 section. Since it was not related to "Body, Paint & Sealers" section I as left with IMHO suspension or parts. Choose "suspension since steering might be better related to suspension rather than place it in a basic "catch-all" section that the "Parts" is

Great reminder. Needs to be asked just to confirm that the op has already checked

Hi Jeff,
Indeed I read the other posts and I saw your comments, as for example: "Currently many are using DAR 12366 and DAU 4086 mixed".
Thank you, but my paint company is asking more details...
Unfortunately, my Thompson Ford pump has been repainted in black by the guy who rebuilt it.... ;-(
So I do not have a reference to show to the paint company.
That why, I am creating this post.

Vince,
Try this link, reply # 5. It shows the color of the PS pump.

Remember that monitors. printers and cell phone screens are not always color compatible. What color, or shade one displays, is not always the color the camera "saw".
(And remember, no fishing in the Seine.)

Merged a bunch of threads focusing on power steering pump colors - especially the "teal" color. #46 posts so far.
