Title: Shaker Assembly for 1969, 1970 BB
Post by: Angela on February 07, 2021, 08:29:46 AM
I'm looking for a reasonably accurate Shaker Assembly for 1970 BB.
I'm not chasing a perfect concours restoration on this particular car, therefore a mix of original and reproduction parts would be fine.

I do not want anything using fiberglass bases.  I am looking for something using a steel assembly.

My application is 1970 428.  That said, I think the 1969 assembly would work as well, yet has subtle differences. I think I might be ok with either option.

I realize Shaker assemblies are not cheap. However, I am not looking for a $1500 assembly.

Please contact me if you have something you'd consider selling. Thank you!

Yep that is one of Harry's ads

Choose to part cars out rather than restore or rebuild them in the 90's

Yes Harry's.  He is in his 80's , Body has issues. At some point someone is going to get it all cheap and continue to sell.

Thanks guys. I've tried emailing and calling Harry yet have not been able to reach him yet. If one of you personally knows Harry, I'd appreciate it if you could let him know that someone from MN (507 area code) is trying to speak with him. :-)

I was able to touch base with Harry. Thanks guys!
He's considering whether or not he is willing to sell any of his shakers and is going to let me know later today. He did confirm, however, they would be north of $3K.

If anyone else has a 69 or 70 BB shaker assembly they'd consider parting with, please let me know. I don't want a fiberglass base, but I'd consider pretty much any steel option someone is considering selling. Thanks.
