Hi All, I see under my door there are 7 screw holes spaced evenly along the bottom. Was there a plastic piece that was assembled there? Any info on this is appreciated. Alan

Awesome, this clears it up for me. Since my car is a Mach1, as per the article these were not put on. My driver door is original to the car and has no holes. I replaced my my passenger door with a door I picked from a junkyard years ago for $25, it has the holes. Thank you. Alan

From your description I see you were looking for the rubber piece rather than the plastic trim piece for the Mach I
Altered your title to reflect this for future viewers ;)

Thanks Jeff, I was under the impression it was ridged plastic but it makes sense its rubber.

Yes fairly stiff rubber not soft like door weather stripping

Scott muscle car reseach makes the 70 mach 1 trim piece i think.

Correct. That is the thin plastic trim that goes above the rocker cladding on the top edge of the rocker panel where it curves onto the sill

This inquiry was for the rubber strip held on my 7 screws under the door of the bottom. 69GT350H provided the correct information. Thanks for everyone's feedback.

You asked about the plastic piece assembled under door and thats why i told u scott h made that plastic trim part if u were missing it. The 7 screws were for the rubber strip that was on all cars BUT 70 mach 1s since the 70 mach1 unique plastic piece took the place of the regular mustang rubber strip. This is called out in the 70 assembly manuals.

I have the plastic piece from Scott H that fits on the door jam top edge and under the rocker side moulding. Nice piece and look authentic.
