Title: Sequential Lamp Module Mounting Hook
Post by: ninedrvr on March 01, 2021, 09:34:27 PM
Anyone have a picture of the hook/bracket the sequential module hangs from in the left trunk drop off area? I have one coming from a 69 Cougar but I need to figure out where to weld it on.

If you want it to look original don't try and reinvent the wheel and do it better. The welding workmanship was adequate at Best. That is unless you don't care about originality and want to weld it better. I am a admitted terrible welder and can do better then what was typically done on installing that bracket. If it looks too good it is a tip off that it has been replaced for some reason.

I got the hook and I'm ready to weld it on. I just have one concern regarding the placement. What stops this thing from banging around back there? The hook position I am seeing would put the module about 1/2 inch away from the trunk drop off. Is there anything that stops the module from swaying on the hook?

A section of dense closed cell foam applied to the back (towards the trunk drop panel) of the box
