Is this rubber plug marked C9AE-8A500-A for a 1969 models with heater delete "cap-water outlet"?
The MPC lists a C4TZ-8A500-A. Perhaps the latter cross references to the former.

Think you would need a 69 MPC to answer that. Don't recall ever seeing a C9 one only have seen the earlier ones for earlier applications. And of course given where the numbers are located not going to be noticed or seen with ease once installed

The C9AE-8A500-A engineering number does not directly cross to an 8A500 service part number. According to the Ford interchange books it crosses to C9AZ-9C639-A as the service part number.

Thanks Scott - that is interesting. That is a "Cap - Carburetor Air Cleaner Adaptor" for a 1969 full size Ford 302 or 390. Won't be able to buy a Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwich off that sale lol.

- that is interesting.
Considering that the replacement is identified as having a 3/8 inch ID, and the heater hose is 5/8 inch ID, am I missing something here?
I have one plug/cap on my desk. It has no identifying marks except the "slots" from the hose clamp. It's 5/8 inch ID.
