Title: 70 trunk drop of sealer Dearborn
Post by: JohnB on March 17, 2021, 07:47:17 PM
Been looking this on youtube several times over. Its of a B9 that Bob Perkins has done.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGPR8S15lBU

Notised that it does not have a sealer on the trunk drop of.

However I have seen here; http://concoursmustang.com/speegle/Articles/70/70%20Dearborn%20Undercarriage%208-2017%20v3.pdf

See page 5. There you would find sealer applied.

Is it special for B9 to not have sealer on the trunk drop of or is it just this car that did not have it?

Thanks
John

Don't believe any rearward sealants were different between regular production 70 Dearborn Mustangs or Boss cars. Of course original sealant cracks, gets hard  and can fall off over time or covered over if the car was undercoated. Can't speak to the car your referencing since before pictures were not shown. Sure what was done for a reason or has an explanation.
