Title: Steering box black out

Was the black out paint for the steering gear box flat black? If it matters it is a 68.

On the cars that it was applied believe it would depend on the year and plant. Ones I've seen on San Jose and Dearborn were a semi-gloss originally then flattened after exposure in areas to the elements, heat and other exposures

Going to move this to the 68 section. If not we're going to get pictures and responses from all 27 different possible combinations over the classic years
