Title: grill molding clips

The grill molding on my car has 2 clips and a screw for attachment. The assembly manual shows 3 clips and a screw. In looking at parts catalogs they all show 2 clips and a screw with the molding. Did Ford stop using 3 clips? Which is correct?

Have never taken an original car apart that had a 3rd clip.
