Any 67 Shelby's made with a Q engine code?
Buddy of mine found one and it has all the Shelby items but was wondering about the Q in the vin. It is an R San Jose car, haven't talked to Dave Matthews yet. I will be at Shelby Spring Fling this weekend in Indiana and will run by people there as well
Thanks

Not really sure of your question. 67 GT500 Shelbys carried/were stamped using a Q to designate the engine code in their Ford VIN's
In other model lines the Q code was also used to identify a 428 8V engine. See below
Not sure where you got a full VIN from but unless it was added by some past owner Dave would be the person to call first. Others would not have access to all the Ford VIN's except for Kevin Marti but your not going to get far asking him with only one of the two VIN's

I'll be at the Spring fling but will tell you now that you need to confirm the VIN with Dave . Anything else is just speculation without doing that first.

You acted appropriately not sharing the Ford vin here . You should share it with Dave to confirm.

Jeff, a minor correcion: in the 1967 MY the Q engine code is listed for Fords as a 428-4V not 8V

You are correct. Yesterday was pretty busy and I saw 4V and typed the 8V :(
