Title: Throttle Spring color 351C 2v
Post by: BHStang on July 31, 2021, 01:28:22 PM
If I recall correctly the throttle return springs on top of the manifold hooking to the carb are color coded?  Anyone know what is the correct color for a 1970 H code 351C 2v.  Should it matter its a June 10 1970 DAP Mach 1.  With AC, Manual Trans, Power Disk, PS.

If the MPC list of applications reflects the applications for C9ZZ-9737-G on the assembly line and not just for replacement parts then that spring was shared with a number of other applications in 69 and 70 including 6 cylinders and Boss 429's. And thanks for including the date (might consider placing some of this in your signature) since it did make a difference

Here is a section of that page in the final 75 MPC version showing your application

With that said I see one currently on Ebay and it is a light gray color. At the moment can't confirm that I've got an original car showing any colors for 70's

Hope this helps

Assembly manual lists light blue for the color for 2V and silver for 4V.
