I'm not even sure how tell if the wire connector is original or not!

Rosy brown is now updated to be Reddish brown.

All correct. The plastic becomes discolored with age.

Original is white, it turns brown and NPD sells one that is black.

I believe you will find (if enough research were done) that variations exist by suppliers and dates. Keep also in mind that a Tilt column connector color COULD be different at the same assembly location & date.
FWIW, mine was also a dirty white color.

I did remove the harness from my column and found a red Ford C7 tag on the wires.
I'll take a pic later. I take pics of everything -- except this.

That is so strange, because that connector is still available in electronic industrial supply houses as a Mate-N-Lok product, and they are all white. Almost all square and rectangular housings using those pins are still available; the only one not available is the curved turn signal connector.

I have a 68 column with the curved connector. I just noticed that a few days ago.

I've been driven crazy by the number of non-standard connectors used by Ford-- their efi stuff...gad!
So to see a standard used, I think I'm dreaming!

Wire loom and the related details are interesting IMHO since there was a number of suppliers and some of those subcontracted out to even smaller companies or even individuals to build so of them. Believe I've shared this before but in the late 60's early 70's while on vacation and traveling across the Calif/Nev desert we stoped to get gas and in the work space the employee (may have been the owner) was assembling electrical wire looms for Lincoln power seats.
With that yes have seen many discolored but many that were not. It's not like the location really got hot or any sun exposure so not as likely to discolor IMHO when compared to those located in other areas of the car but I think we all accept that plastic can discolor some just from age.
Found it difficult to find many pictures since these are, on an assembled cars), up and often out of view so good to have some pictures of disassembled cars from projects or yards.

For judging I can't see a situation where this would come under discussion and if it did what resources the judge and team would use other than memory. In that case the team would have to agree that it was the wrong one for the car and I can't see that happening. If you have a concern I would keep a picture of your original as well a print out of this discussion and include it in your detail/resource folder/binder that would be with you.
Can't recall a show where an electric plug came into question except on those that had been repaired or spliced over my 50 years of judging

I've refurbished just a tad over 100 1967's, and have at least 40 more in my stockpile. I've never seen a true rose-colored 10 pin connector. Some have a slight rose tint to it, but that is the reddest I've ever seen! All that said, it doesn't mean it isn't original. As J. Speegle says, so many folks were involved in manufacturing these harnesses. I would believe, however, that the vendors that Ford used to distribute the connectors were fairly small, so to see one type of connector being so out of the normal color scheme seems odd to me.
As the pictures indicate, it is hard to see the connectors, unless one is upside down and viewing directly towards the steering column under the dash. Most judging scenarios are unlikely to be that detailed.
