Title: 68 Cougar GT-E
Post by: Sluggo on February 28, 2011, 01:19:43 AM
I met a man today with a 25k mile 68 Cougar XR-7 GT-E today. This thing is in incredible shape and appears to be missing only the smog stuff. He said he actually has some of the pipes but the pump is MIA.

I really enjoyed talking with this gentleman and would not mind going on a fact finding/documentation mission. He would enjoy the attention.

He definitely knows what he has. This car lives not too far from where this car (http://images.thecarconnection.com/sml/boss-garage-find-blog-jpg_100176102_s.jpg) was found. About 40 miles from me.

Yes been there a number of times to dig through the yard and purchase some pieces for the XR7 I'm currently building

Not really into the (well at least no longer) the modified/Gears build

I have heard of them but have had no need for Cougar stuff as of yet. If the right one was to come along I would not mind building one.
