Post by: Big Al on December 10, 2021, 11:31:54 PM
Where can I find out the correct color for the accelerator spring (#9737) on an Aug ?69, Dearborn built, 1970 Mach 1 w/ 351W 2bl, Auto/A/C?

The yellow & lt blue springs (big block & 4bl engines), sold are too long

Thanks Allen

Don't have a 1970 MPC  available but do have the 72 version that list that the part carried at that time for your application built after 4/9/69 was C9ZZ-9737-G. Believe there is a link in the Library section of the site that provides access to a copy of this resource

27 coils .614 OD and 3.80 long

Shared with 70 Mustang 351 4V, 70 Boss 429 70 Mustang 6 cyl, and 302 + 351 2V as well as a couple of other applications

Don't seem to have a picture of a NOS example though an ad on Ebay turned up what the seller claims to be a C9ZZ-9737-G and its gray in color.

Hope this helps
