I've been getting all kinds of answers! What are the correct optional tires for 67? One red stripe, two red stripes, or Firestone white letter?
Thanks
Jim

Jim,
Try this for a start, the 1967 Mustang Facts Books -

My 66 version answers the question for 1966. The 67 version may do the same.

The answer for this is the best answer to almost every question that could be asked; "it depends". Question #1 - are you looking to find out what a specific car came with from the factory, or are you looking for how much leeway you have with the Concours-minded group? Question #2 - what does the Marti report say on this subject? Question #3 - what size and type wheels?

Attached are a page from the "1967 Ford Car Facts Book: (from which select pages were taken from for the printing of the booklet Jim noted), and copies from Salesman's Price Books dated 10-17-66 and 5-29-67. Note that there were no Factory Red Line Tires listed for 1967.
Hope this helps,
Bob

Given the OP user name 67gta I would say that there is a 99% chance it came with Firestone wide ovals with the thin white sidewall. Assuming that it does not have the ultra-rare competition suspension option.

Thanks all for the info. I dug out the Marti and it lists 'GT Equipment Group" and "F70-14 Wide Oval Tires". The above literature states "WSW", does that mean "Firestone Wide Oval" white letters or a single white stripe?

white sidewall.

There is an awful lot of really good information out there that is available to you at any time of day or night, it is just a matter of effective searching. Then you don't need to wait for the answers!

white sidewall.
Looks like that's the answer - kind of boring.
