Title: 69-70 Chrome Front Windshield Headliner Trim
Post by: rnegless on March 22, 2022, 03:57:09 PM
I was listing this and could only find painted  versions. It came from a Dearborn 70 Mach1 with black interior I parted 30 or so years ago.   Is  this piece for a specific year/color/trim package interior? Thanks

Appears to have been repainted from new. Possibly with a thick heavy primer filler coat or other filler that you can see around the screw holes

It's definitely plated Jeff.  If it wasn't a thing I guess some PO had it plated.

Sorry. From apparently the reflection in the first post it looked painted

Prior owners often chromed all sorts of things Not a good idea and the reason the factory didn't is due to the concerns of sun glare/reflection
