I recently took delivery of a Scott Drake 'C5ZZ-7521-A'. It is of the wrong finish and of metric dimension and threads, differing from an OEM piece.
I anticipated re-finishing the steel, but I desire to reuse my stock 3/8"-24 'long' adjusting nuts as they are distinctive w the hood up.
This rod is an immediate throw-away.
I have heard, but not seen, that the ACP listed rod id the same as the Drake.
Has anyone any recommendations for a stock dimensioned clutch rod (Apr San Jose)?
Thank you,
Steve A

I'd suggest sourcing an NOS piece, there might be some on ebay. Not usually very expensive, less than $100.

NOS Parts, Ltd, Green Sales, Mustangs, Etc. and McDonald Obsolete all show that they have at least 1, NOS one available.
Just be sure to confirm that it is NOS Ford before purchasing.
Hope this helps,
Bob
