Title: Gas tank caulk color on a San Jose car

I'm assuming they used strip caulk between the tank and the mounting flange in the trunk. Was it gray or black or another color?

Black or a very very dark gray. Same material used on other areas like fender to engine compartment/apron joints. NOT that light gray stuff they sold in the 80s and 90's at Ford
