Getting the SCJ ready to fire before long and was wondering what is the recommended engine oil for this?

I have used Joe Gibbs BR30 with excellent results for the initial start and break-in.

Depends on temperature. What does the engine builder recommend?

Can always go to help others. One of the reasons we keep adding to older threads when a question comes up about the same topic

Been using Joe Gibbs break in oil for the last few years myself

Looks as if he might have sold out - seems like a company named Driven has added their name to the labels since I bought my last case. Has been a while  ::)

Amsoil Z-Rod 10w-30 or 10w-40 depending on time of year and ambient temperatures.
