Title: pop open gas cap

I have an early 67 GTA the pop open gas cap has solid GT letters. Was there ever any made like this or did they get filled in when it was re-chromed? Getting old so dont recall how it was before I sent it off to the chrome shop!! It has a part # of C7ZA-9A107-B Thanks
