Wondering if anyone out there has a photo or some documentation that shows the way a kickdown cable is installed on a 67 GTA. This is for a C6 with a 390 engine.
Original owner had changed the carb and installed a kickdown rod and changed everything so putting it all back to original. I assume there is a return spring but cant verify that.

The installation is shown in the "1967 Mustang Chassis Assembly Manual" (AM0020) pg41. There is an error in two of the "View Z's". Swap the application stating "For 289-4V Carb" and "For 390-4V Carb". The "View Z for 289-2V Carb" is correct.
(Note to Cougar owners: The manual referenced above also has Cougar pages.)

Thanks guys! The picture and the assembly manual help out alot....I see now how things are put together with the cable and the return spring now.

The spring retaining clip is a tough part to locate.

Springie bracket ;)
I'm sorry. That word does not appeal in my Funk and Wagnalls Encyclopedia. :(
