Title: Coax antenna cable at radio
Post by: AJ on January 19, 2023, 10:16:04 AM
Did the long coax cable plug directly into the radio ?  Or rather was it an extention plugged into the stock coax cable ?
The forward end of my Shelby coax was cut off by PO.

A 69 regular Mustang stock antenna has the coax cable attached to it so the Shelby antenna could not be plugged into that one. Typically one long PM-300 coax cable plugs into radio. Many of the correct coax are lost when the unique PM-300 antenna is changed out .The trick is to have a coax with the correct fitting to screw into the PM-300 Shelby antenna. The rest of the coax is hidden so if you use 2 shorter ones it will not be noticed.
