Hello All:
I am changing my '65 Mustang Fastback to Silver Metallic Blue (Code Y) and a light blue interior. Are the seatbelts a light blue or dark blue? My seat covers a light blue similar to the SMB, but the carpet is a medium blue. Do I match the seats or the carpet?
thank you!

The medium blue standard interior for '65 should be pretty much the same/similar color blue on everything. There is no light/dark blue color contrast like in '66.
Here is a pic of a restored '65 standard interior:

Probably a little more contrast in colors than original since most of the trim was reproduction.
For comparison, here is a new car pic of a '65 taken sometime around 1966:

Thanks Charles!
I am curious, was it different on the 1966? Seats, belts and carpet?

'66 standard blue interior was a 2-tone.

Any idea what the object is below the ignition switch at the bottom of the dash? And what about the long block-ish looking item on the driver's side door (jamb area)?

Aftermarket gauge I guess. Have talked to the original owner. He said the car had a console, but he didn't want it and made the original dealer take it out (which explains why the chrome bezel is missing around the shifter.)
No idea what the thing is in the driver door jamb. Might just be a shadow.
