Title: S1MS Cobra Intake Question
Post by: Countrysquire on July 07, 2023, 09:47:30 PM
Was the COBRA lettering polished on the small letter S1MS intakes?  I'm currently restoring all of the aluminum pieces on a '65 in the SMFS200 range, which appear to be original to the car.  The letters have a surface that does not look like it has been polished, but seem to have a similar surface profile to the surrounding areas, certainly different from the fins and letters on the valve covers and oil pan which have obviously been through a polishing process.  Obviously I want to make sure that I get it right.  Thanks.

The Cobra letters were typically polished.

Thanks Bob. Looks like I have a bit more work to do.

Thanks Bob. Looks like I have a bit more work to do.
I have seen some that were unpolished but more typically polished.

I ended up doing a light polish on all of the pieces.
