Title: Oil Pressure Sending Unit Extension Application?

Regarding the Oil Pressure Sending Unit Extension, was it used on both oil gauge and idiot light equipped '65 mustangs or only oil gauge equipped '65 mustangs? I've also heard they were used on power steering equipped mustangs for access to the sending unit.

i have only seen them on gauge equipped cars.
