I need to repaint the dash, doors, rear interior quarter panels... on my 64.5 convertible. It has the interior TRIM color 82 on the door tag which I believe is Medium Blue. The research I have done indicates Ford code M1821G. This converts to
Ditzler PPG 12989
Dupont 9135
RM BASF 5747
Any recommendations on paints that work the best? I see rattle cans out there but would prefer to apply using a spray gun.
If I simply give one of these numbers to an automotive paint supply store will I get the right paint with the correct sheen or do I need to specify flat, satin, gloss...
Any idea which sheen I should use?
Any recommendation on where to get the paint?
Thank you,
Corey

I tend to like PPG/Ditzler but its difficult to illegal locally in many cases locally. If you don't have a local shop you like you might want to try TCP Global that I've mentioned a number of times on the site. Likely already have the formula and the sheen level already worked out for you :)
Haven't ordered from them for a while since the local restrictions have gotten tighter - :(
