Title: T-10 four speed case color

After cleaning up the case from my BW T-10, it almost looks like its been painted grey. Not real dark, not real lite, just something in between. Were they cast iron with no paint from the factory? San Jose built 66 GT.

Transmissions would not have originally been painted. More likely a clean up effort during an earlier rebuild IMHO
