Title: 67 Shelby headlight bucket assembly
Post by: 67gta289 on November 04, 2023, 11:53:36 AM
A friend of mine is parting out a 1960 Starliner, and someone told him that the headlight buckets are the same as the 67 Shelby.  My initial thought was "no way", because the 60 has four headlights.  My other thought is that for the Shelby headlight, why would it need to be any different than the Mustang for that year.  Perhaps the 67 Shelby fog lamp uses it?  I don't have the 67 Shelby assembly manual, and don't want to buy one just for this.  Can someone shed some pun-intended light on this?  Part numbers appreciated.  TIA

As Bob mentioned, the 67 Shelby uses 4 buckets, all of them the 5 1/2 size.
It also does not have foglights.
The headlights in the grill are high beam only (2 prong).
The outboard headlights (outside of the grill) are high/low beam (3 prong).

You can be led astray because the later Shelbys have a chrome bezel around the headlight which make them look larger.

There were more then one application that they could possibly be used from.
