Knobs with a flat top number 3 are 68 . 69 number 3 is rounded top.

My friend has a early 69 mach and it has the flat top. Even on the SAAC forum no one has proof when there was a cut off date in 69 of when the rounded 3 came into play. My guess is that if you have a car before July then use either style. Would be nice if someone can come up with proof of a change over date.

Troy, in case you are not aware 69/70 Shelby's did not typically come with racing stripe knob flat top 3 or not. The stock 69/70 Shelby knob was all woodgrain. It can be seen in the owners manual and all vintage photos of the interior. It is sourced from the Cougar.
