Title: Alternator Spacer Color- 67 and up 390/428
Post by: lightwtjet on July 18, 2024, 11:28:51 PM
My 428 spacer was a pinkish color and agreed with the Dead Nuts spacer picture. Jack at Dead Nuts states that the spacer is red and he will change the picture to red. Please comment on the color if you have an original 390/428 spacer.

Hardware Kit w/Spacer
Year: 1967
Model: Mustang, Shelby, Ford/Mercury
Engine: 390, 427, 428
Jack's Website Comments:
This is a very accurate 1967 big block Ford alternator hardware kit with the red anodized aluminum spacer. This kit has a mix of NOS Ford and reproduction hardware.
SPACER FINISH NOTE: 10/9/20  The aluminum spacer is now more of a red color, not pink as shown in the picture. We will update the picture as soon as possible. -Jack

I have always assumed that the pinkish tint was just a weak red anodizing job.
