According to the Deluxe Marti Report my '69 Mach I came with both of these 'warning' lights. From my research these are nearly impossible to find.
Also based on all of the pics I have seen these two warning lights are mounted vertically between the ignition and the washer controls.
Pics attached of the 69 part and body illustration as well as the few photos i have found seem to confirm that.
However the holes in my dash look like this was an assembly line afterthought?
Does any one have any experience with these they can share?

Are you referring to the Mustang listed in your profile? If so, it's possible that the holes were not done on the assembly line.

If by "afterthought" you mean that they are not all perfectly located your correct. The dashes were not prestamped for these holes as that would have increased the parts number and the number of dashes they would have had to have made, shipped and inventoried which didn't make sense in dollars so for cars with the options they were made in a remote location at the car factory, and assembled with everything else them marked or identifies and sent down to the full assembly line where they were installed in the appropriate car.
Have some that have a notch in the hole while others appears to have been done with a hole bit. Likely different plants choose different methods of producing the holes. Typical for some processes. Have dozens of pictures of cars with both warning lights and only a small number with the lights removed during restorations

just confused by the location of the holes in my dash. every diagram i see of the dash and the few photos I have seen while researching all show them oriented vertically between the ignition and the washer switches.
Mine are located horizontally below. weird. hey, maybe that makes mine 1 of 1 verses 1 of 10! LOL

My memory of these details is fading fast but bear with me. If your car is an automatic without a tach, I think one of the lights would be in the instrument and you would only have one drilled hole. The second hole was probably added by someone for some other purpose - like a switch to arm an alarm or some such? Maybe?

I'd offer up that since this was an introductory car, not all of the assembly details had been ironed out and being a show car with all the doo-dads added to show off, that the discrepancy was a pre-production/post-assembly line addition.

Sorry looked at the different pictures and missed in the first one the side by side holes and your clear mention that they were horizontal. Dealing with a bit of Covid at the moment so I must not be reading so posts completely enough.
With that said you posted just pictures of empty holes taken of your car. Since your ownership has anything been mounted or located in those holes or are we assuming that they were the double warning lights?

I have to admit i missed this detail when I acquired the car two plus years ago. I literally flew up to meet the seller, had the transporter there that afternoon and flew back the next day. The car was delivered to my restorer. I never actually sat in the darn thing. Its now 2 ? years later and i am still combing out the details. All of the pre-disassembly pics I have just show parts of hols with no lights installed. Nothing has ever been installed in those holes.
Based on the deluxe Marti Report both lights are supposed to be there. The hole sizes appear to the the approximate correct size. Midlife has a good point. This car was scheduled to be built 7/4/68. But not built until lAugust, I think. Just in time to be shipped out as 1 of 10 for the show circuit. So they could have been just jaming things in to get them out the door as Midlife referenced in his post.
Car is auto with tach, FYI.

Hi,
i own a 69' Grande with Deluxe interior. My Marti report also states "Deluxe Belts/warning light" - but: my Belt warning light is part of the instrument cluster. It is on the right side of the fuel/temp gauge. At the under dash is only the parking brake warning light mounted (one hole). Only if you have a dash with tach (rpm) I think both Belt and warning light are under dash.
Greetings
