This is a little out of my wheelhouse of what I normally work on. I have a 65 A code GT, I don't know build date but sheet metal/block/heads are mostly 5E/F so its late Dearborn build. Its got aftermarket intake/carb. What are correct engineering #'s of original? Thanks

Tim,
Consider using this forum's library to determine the carburetor, then get a copy of "Mustang & Ford Small Block V8" by Bob Mannell. There's four intakes listed (sec E, pg E-7) with way too many alternatives. The carb is listed in Mannell's book too.

For carb
W/Manual - C5ZF-C or E
W/Auto - C5ZF- D or F
According too John Enyeart's research if the engine has the road draft tube then
W/Auto - C5ZF-J
W/Manual - C5ZF-K
Will find and post the intake ID tomorrow unless someone beat me to it :)

Thanks all. I do have Mantell?s book and stupidly I forgot to even look at it. Turns out thanks to Charles and confirm by Bob?s book the C6 intake that is on my motor is original to the car. I just saw the C6 and assumed it was wrong but the date is actually June 1 65 on the manifold.
Jeff, do you by chance have the automatic and manual reversed? In Bob?s book it shows that the D and F are for automatic and the C and E are manual?

Yes in checking did find that I had flipped the two (manual and automatic) Thanks for catching that and bringing it to our attention Fixed
