Title: Rear Seat removal
Post by: Building 3 on September 05, 2024, 11:00:21 AM
Two of my rear seat belts are loose, on my 1966 convertible, so I need to remove the rear seat bottom cushion.  It has been a long time since I last did this. I seem to remember that the seat is not held in place with bolts but rather by metal clips in the front. To remove the seat, I need to pull the seat bottom forward and then lift up. Do I have that correct? I think I only need to remove the bottom cushion, is that correct? Thanks
Tom

Push rear seat bottom BACK towards trunk and then lift up.

+1  Sometimes it needs a strong wack and a lift. Just did it on a 65 GT coupe a couple of hours ago.  ::)

Thank you both. Yes, it needed a significant push and lift. Putting it back in place was easier, but I hope it is secured firmly. That's one Sunday project I completed successfully.
