Title: Carter Fuel Pump Decode

Looking for help to decode this Carter button top fuel pump. The stampings on the flange are 25J8 and 4567S. It is a 1719

The Carter fuel pumps are typically date as Day/Month/Year.  So this one here is a 25J8 which translates to 25th day of Sept 1968.

In the future you can find this out on your own in an article titled Decoding Date Codes  in the Library of this site. Just go there, click on the year, then go down the list from the top till you find the article. In the case of fuel pumps the decoding information can be found (in this  version of the article) on page 24  ;)
