Title: What is this hole

Can someone school me on this.  What is this hole for ?  Theres another just like it on the drivers side

I didnt make any note to self during disassembly specific to these holes.

Are they from pins that have been broken off?

That was my initial thought but there are 24 pins intact which corresponds to the assembly manual which indicates 24 pins.  So Im pretty sure holes aren?t from broken pins.   Mystery continues?

Could be an assembly alignment hole.
