Searching for one lock nut for my steering column
I believe it is type hi-hex cone lock nut.
See attached photos.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Part numbers are available in this forums library under topic "Mustang Hardware Spreadsheet 67-68". There are two files in that topic, one by part number, PN06 (the 06 is the revision) and the second by use, aka application, AP06. They are keyed to the Mustang Assembly Manuals, which I highly recommend you investing for your car.

Good call on the MPB, it?s called out correctly there for a tilt assembly. The assembly manual seems to lack that detail.
Using the AMK Products Guide to Ford Fasteners.. verified PN 379930-S called out is what I?m looking for.
AMK PN B-10478. $4 for package.

What does the abbreviation "MPB" refer to?
The correct Ford hardware part number is 55736-S2 as shown on the 1968 Mustang Chassis Assembly manual (AM0025) pg68 (available at AMK), Ford part number 379930-S7 was used on 1967. In the 75 edition of "Ford Car Parts" (the infamous MPC), Ford part number 379930-S(7) is shown as a SERVICE REPLACEMENT number for 1968, NOT an Assembly Line first used item.

For the simple reason that it is "slang" and the real title of the document is Ford Car Parts.

With all due respect and appreciation, which is not insignificant...
Smack dab on the cover of the 1975 dated publication Form FP 7635-A, and on the General Information page 1 are the terms "Car Parts Master Catalog" and "Ford Car Parts / Master Parts and Accessories Catalog" respectively.
The term "Master" is used in the 1949-1959, 1960-1968, 1965-1972, and 1973-1979 multiple year catalogs, and conversely the term "Master" is not used in any of the "single year" or 2-3 model year combination publications.
My conclusion is that the word "Master" is a key term when referencing the publications that spanned 7 to 11 model years, and that MPC is a reasonable abbreviated acronym. Slang perhaps, but infamous - I think not. To exclude the term "Master" when referencing the publications that Ford classified as "Master" would be an error of omission.
My $0.02 cents as some would incorrectly say.
