Title: 1965 Mustang NOS gas cap marking

I have a '65 gas cap in an autolite box with instructions for installation instructions. It's marked WS with a circle around it. Can anyone tell me what the WS stands for?

You're reading it upside down, it really is "SM", which is for Stant Manufacturing or some likeness to the Stant company.

Ah, makes sense.  I also have a '66 NOS gas cap in a Ford box but it is marked autolite on the back.  Any idea why the change between Stant and Autolite?

Not sure why they went to the Autolite stamping.  I would suspect it had something to do with a change in manufacturer.
