Hi, What should be the color on the 1970 shaker? Is it gloss, semi-gloss?

Thank you for the link to the article. This should help.
In the article, they make the fins on the shaker metal by removing the black paint with a razor. Is that correct or should those fins be black also?

There has been much discussion on that very subject, many have said the silver was applied with a roller (after the black was sprayed) to keep the aluminum from oxidizing. Some people have sprayed the black and sanded the ribs. Some have cleared the bare aluminum ribs then masked them off and shot the black.
