Title: 67 package tray
Post by: sparky65 on August 27, 2011, 10:38:32 PM
The previous owner had removed the package tray from my car so I have no idea how it was in there.  Does it get installed before or after the rear window, quarter panels and rear seat?  How does it get fastened in place?  I bought a repro and they said paint to match.  Do you use the same paint as the rest of the interior?    Trying to understand how this all fits, if anyone has pictures that would be great.

1.  Package tray is installed after rear window/gasket and before quarter panels and rear seat.

2.  Quarter panels have a screw hole at the most rear upper and outer vertical locations.

3.  Wide flat head trim screw through this quarter panel location, through the new fibre board
package tray and into the metal frame below.  Existing screw hole, in the metal, should be
     there.

4.  Two ' channel clips ' attach to the upper rear metal frame for the back seat and slide onto the
     new package tray.

5.  Install upper portion of back seat.

Hope that will get you started.  Brian

Thanks that will get me started.  Looks like I need to locate those clips.  Anyone have a picture of what I am looking for?  Anyone know a source?
Does the package tray get painted?

Don't know that anyone is making these after market.  There is a pair on EPAY # 250881066876.  Int. paint on the tray and I usually match the dash/upholstery color.  Brian
