Title: Emergency Brake Cable Detail
Post by: rockhouse66 on September 28, 2011, 10:08:06 PM
On a 9/65 scheduled build San Jose car, should the emergency brake cable retaining clamp be zinc plated or ??  I think the screws are zinc, but would also like confimation of that detail.  Here is the area I am asking about;

Don't know about color but you need the round flange to be CAPTURED in the slot in the clamp.   You have it on the outside.

The loop late '65 style were zinc plated, but can't tell you for sure on the '66 style.  Would think either zinc plated or just natural steel.
