At the top of the firewall there are 2 holes, one for the heater valve vac control line, and the other for the AC cannister vac line.
Is there suppose to be grommets there? If so I can't find it listed in the parts catalog. Or did it just have sealer blobbed around it originally?

Roger - just in case there are differences - When and where was your car built?
Makes searching all the pictures easier and the answer more correct for your needs ;)

San Jose, January 68. 289, C4, AC, PS Coupe.

Looked and looked through about 2000 pictures (didn't want to compare the other two plants ;) unfortunately not an often pictured location and the cowl pinch weld gets in the way ( as well as providing a big shadow)
Anyway - not conclusive IMHO will look at some cars tomorrow at the shop to see if there are any 68 SJ AC cars

I think there's suppose to be a grommet there instead of caulking. The hole is 5/8". Haven't found them in any catalog.

5/8 is a rather large hole but I have never seen grommets used there. Marty
