Title: Engine Assembly Manual
Post by: Stangly on October 20, 2011, 09:58:07 PM
Can anybody tell me what the difference between pages 36&37 are in the 1969 Osborn assembly manual.  Page 36 has a table with falcon fairlane & Montego, Mustang, Cougar, Ford & Meteor.  The table shows both 302 & 351.  Installation calls out STD. Alternator Mounting, STD & Extra Cooling.

Page 37  calls out for models Montego_302-351, Ford & Meteor_302  Installation calls out R.P.O. amp. G.P.D. Alternator STD. & extra cooling.  My main question is how do I tell what category  my engine falls.  Also what is STD. & extra cooling, and what does R.P.O. and G.P.D. stand for.  The part numbers I have found seem to match up to page 37.

The application on page 36 is for a single fan belt, the application on page 37 is for two fan belts.
